Dr. Kathleen Isdith, DDS
Dr. Isdith would like to welcome you to her practice, Harbour Pointe Oral Maxillofacial and Advanced Implant Surgery. Dr. Isdith has been practicing at HPOMS since 1998. She is a native of New York, but her heart is now in Seattle, having moved here 4 days after completing her residency! It was love at first sight!
Her undergraduate training was completed at New York University where she received a Bachelor of Arts and Science. She then went on to her studies at New York University College of Dentistry and completed her residency at NYU in a four-year training program in oral and maxillofacial surgery. In 1997 following the completion of her oral surgery training, she moved to Seattle, Washington to start a fellowship at the University of Washington under the direction of Dr. Philip Worthington. During this one year fellowship, she did extensive work in implant surgery as well as cutting edge grafting procedures. After the completion of her fellowship, she was asked to stay on at the university as an assistant professor. Her duties included teaching undergraduate students, as well as instructing residents in oral surgery. She also took part in surgeries at the Seattle WA Medical Center, Harborview, and Children’s Hospital.
Areas of Expertise
Her areas of expertise consist of surgical extraction of wisdom teeth, routine extractions, biopsies, orthodontic related procedures and implants. Dr. Isdith makes use of many advanced grafting procedures like BMP, cadaver bone, autogenous bone, Bio-Oss fillers, PRP and PRF. All of these methods enhance the success of implants. Dr. Isdith prides herself in her vast knowledge of oral and maxillofacial surgery. She routinely attends continuing educating classes both in the Northwest and abroad. She likes to give the patient the option to choose whether to have general anesthesia or local anesthesia. Dr. Isdith is a firm believer in allowing the patient to choose the type of treatment that suites them best. She prides herself in having her office be one in which the patient is comfortable making their own decisions and being allowed to explore the possibilities that will make them the most comfortable. Dr. Isdith feels a kind heart and a soothing touch is vital to the patient’s experience. She is compassionate and kind,a and truly enjoys and learns from every patient she meets.
Background
Dr. Isdith is fluent in Spanish. Her immediate family is from Colombia, South America.Dr. Isdith is an avid skier and hiker. Dr. Isdith and her husband have both climbed many mountains in the area including Mt. Baker and Mt. Adams. She is the mother of 2 teenage boys and loving every minute! Dr.Isdith’s garden is her pride and Joy! Most of her free time is spent nurturing her flowers and vegetables. Presently she is a volunteer at the Swedish Community Health Services Clinic in Seattle, Washington. This clinic services patient who are unable to afford such needed oral surgery care.
Dr. Isdith has been chosen and listed among Seattle’s top dentists every year consecutively since 2011 and it proud to be given the honor again for the year 2021. Dr. Isdith makes a point of speaking with and meeting with her referring doctors regularly. She finds it very important to have sound relationships with your dentist; communication is of great importance for Dr. Isdith. Dr. Isdith looks forward to meeting you in the future and providing the best treatment that she can for you and your family as patients in our office.

Social Responsibility
Dr. Isdith volunteers locally in multiple community centers. She provides oral surgical care at the Swedish Community Specialty Clinic where she treats the indigent population of King County. She has found this rewarding to provide treatment to help those in need outside of private practice. She also teaches Sunday School and Youth Services in her local Church. A recent fundraiser among her youth group helped raise money for socks and shoes for the homeless.
